There is a need out there for a restaurant
catering to Filipino-Americans, offering food that they’re
truly familiar with, tasty yet reasonably priced and served
in a clean professional restaurant environment.
A restaurant that Filipino-Americans
can be proud of, showing their pride in it by bringing their
non-Filipino friends along. They’ll come in groups
to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries and those special
occasions in the traditional way of sharing food or “salu-salo.”
Theme Concept:
The convivial atmosphere in a town
fiesta is chosen as a theme of the restaurant, reflecting
the world-renowned Filipino hospitality. This feeling is
captured in the mural one will find in any of its location.
Brief History:
The first Salo-Salo Restaurant opened
in November 1, 1999 in West Covina, followed by the Artesia
branch beside the popular and trendy Cerritos Mall on October
1, 2001. The highly successful branch in exciting Las Vegas
soon followed on October 10, 2003, serving the huge Filipino-American
market there. The Salo-Salo Glendale franchise opened it's
doors on January 16, 2006 near the fabulous Glendale Galleria.
As good locations become available, new stores are planned
to be built on known Filipino-American population centers
in California.
